People Behind The Party

Geoffrey Sandler

Geoffrey is the proud owner of Celebrations Entertainment, known throughout Southern Wisconsin not just for his exceptional skills as a DJ and emcee, but also as an accomplished event planner. Geoffrey discovered his passion for entertaining at a young age, beginning with a successful paper route and involvement in local theater productions. His love for performance drew him to DJ at “The Bottom Line,” a popular club in downtown Madison, when he was just 18 years old. The energy of the music and the excitement of the crowd quickly hooked him, launching his professional DJ career. His natural ability to understand and influence the mood of any event soon led Geoffrey to start Celebrations Entertainment, combining his business experience with his growing knowledge of event dynamics.
At age 22, Geoffrey began nearly a decade of active-duty service with the U.S. Coast Guard, achieving qualifications as a small boat boarding captain, EMT, helicopter flight mechanic, and jet engine mechanic. Geoffrey earned multiple commendations, including the prestigious 8th District “Sailor of the Year” award, and fondly describes his Coast Guard service as “the best job in the world” because he had the privilege of saving lives. Today, Geoffrey channels that same dedication and attention to detail into every event he plans, whether it’s a wedding, corporate event, or fundraiser. His approach revolves around the small details—the stories behind each client—to create truly memorable experiences.
In recent years, Geoffrey has increasingly focused on mentoring younger DJs, passing along his extensive knowledge of building DJ sets and managing the flow of events. For him, selecting the right song at just the right moment is like playing a thoughtful game of chess, requiring careful attention to both the dance floor and those not yet engaged. Beyond the music and events, Geoffrey is deeply committed to his community, actively assisting charitable organizations and helping raise millions of dollars through planning and auctioneering. Geoffrey lives on Madison’s near West side with his wife, two wonderful children, and an adorable granddaughter, and enjoys cheering on the Badgers and Packers during his well-deserved downtime.

Dave Ogden

It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s Super Dave! Fresh off his time as one of the best DJs around, Dave is now one of our amazing wedding and event DJs. We are so honored and excited to have him in the Celebrations Family. Dave started playing music in 1990 and has several hundred weddings/events under his belt over the last 30+ years. He came to realize that being able to create an atmosphere and memorable event with his music was so powerful. Seeing his guests having a great time is always his goal and he never disappoints. Throughout his career in music, both in events and as an on-air personality for the Big Y105 and Today’s Q106 he has curated a love for music in all genres. His work managing large scale events, as well as the production of concert series he has learned what it takes to help manage successful events. While he has stepped away from radio, he still has his hand in the music world in many ways. Dave lives here in Madison with his wife, daughter and dog; when he isn’t spinning the records for us, he is out enjoying all that Wisconsin has to offer especially in its sport teams! With Dave’s knowledge and career history he will rock your event or wedding!

Andre Jackson

Andre started DJing in 2018. His early influencers were DJ Corey Lynch, DJ Scrump Boogz, DJ Montay, Mike Dunn and DJ Puffy. Having been a music lover ever since he was a child, he started off rapping as a young youth. In 2011, Andre decided to put the mic down and ultimately turned to the pioneer controllers. His older cousin DJ Corey Lynch helped mold him into the DJ his is today, by watching him successfully execute so many parties growing up. For Andre, DJing isn’t a profession it is a lifestyle. His passion resonates whenever he is DJing and shines through in his work ethic. Andre lets the music, crowd and vibe come to him as he DJs, that is how he creates art.

Setting up, early on in backyards, Andre knew we wanted to take on the world with his music and talents. As he grew by popular demand, so did his sound systems and set up. Since coming on with Celebrations, he has really been able to hone his craft and learn the true meaning of telling a client’s story. Andre always wants to give the client the best party ever. That’s all he focuses on during the set. It comes naturally because of how much he loves music and seeing people truly enjoy themselves while dancing the night away to good music. Getting a feel for the crowd really gives Andre the drive to play the music that keeps the energy and vibe going for the duration of his events. For him, it is never a preplanned playlist, he lets it come to him during each set. The relationships he builds with each audience over the course of every event, gives them the sense of comfort and reassurance that he is going to give everyone the time of their lives.

In his everyday life, Andre works for MMSD as a mentor and coach, all the while taking care of his kids and giving them the base of what it takes to be a great entertainer.

Fernando Reyes

Music has been an influence since Fernando was a kid. Without knowing exactly how to do it, without Youtube tutorials like now in days. He started playing “mixing” with dj softwares using only the computer’s keyboard as he didn’t really have the chance to get a dj controller. It wasn’t until Freshman year when he had the chance to visit a professional studio when he realized all the production work behind music when realized that was what he wanted to do.

He started working along with friends to make music beats, he started matching the functions he used to do on his old computer’s keyboard with the actual buttons on beatmakers, dj controllers, consoles, etc.

His debut was on the Prom dance when the dj that was supposed to play canceled three days before the event, Fernando raised his hand to be behind the booth and since then he just fell in love with it.

Djing is a way to express emotions with music, he loves the connection between him and the crowd.

The production behind an event is what motivates Fernando to keep learning more about the entertainment industry.

Creating good memories and bringing back some others with the right song at the right time.

Fernando enjoys his work so much that sometimes he even forgets he is working and thinks of it as the 10 years old Fernando playing with dj softwares on his old computer figuring out how to control it with his keyboard.

Kyree Brooks

DJ Ree Maniac understands all that goes into planning your wedding and will provide you with amazing customer satisfaction. He approaches every event as a personal experience and caters to your unique needs, including your schedule. Keeping the night young with smashing playlists, he will make it his mission to get your guests on the dance floor for an unforgettable time. He makes a big day feel truly seamless!

Outside of DJing, Kyree is an Associate Principal at Central Heights Middle School in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin where he manages 500+ students. He was also a INBusiness Magazine 40 Under 40 Award Recipient in 2023. He is involved with the Urban League of Greater Madison Young Professionals, a volunteer auxiliary organization. Also, a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc, the first intercollegiate fraternity for African Americans founded in 1906. Additionally, you can catch him featured on 93.1 Jamz some afternoon for throwback lunch mixes. Kyree is proud to be a part of Celebrations Entertainment and is a naturally gifted DJ.

Greg Ostrowsky

DJ Greg Ostrowsky is a seasoned veteran at entertaining and working crowds. He started as a DJ back when most music was on vinyl and Footloose was still in the Top 40. Living in Marinette, WI at the time, his DJ services were in demand by the best events and venues in the Northeastern corner of the state.

After relocating to Madison in ’89, Greg transitioned along with the music to CDs and networked with local DJs to rapidly build his fan base. Today, the music is mostly digital, but Greg’s musical expertise and professionalism remain top-shelf.

Not only does he know how to keep a dance floor packed, but Greg also specializes in customizing your unique event while paying close attention to every detail. He is an award-winning speaker and emcee who has trained under some of the best wedding DJs/Emcees in the world. He’s also a pretty good drummer and a competent guitarist.

He served as a pastor at his church for 5 years during the 90s, an experience that helped him become an accomplished wedding officiant who’s equally at home officiating or presiding over a special occasion. During the week, Greg is an Instructional Design and Training Consultant in the public sector.

Musically, his personal favorite playlists typically include Motown, Zydeco, Western Swing, 80’s pop, late 60’s R&B and, of course, The Beatles. His favorite current artists include Drake, Morgan Wallen, Chappell Roan, Lady Gaga and Dua Lipa.
